H2Blu is a WHMIS controlled substance, considered to be an irritant to the eyes and skin. It is a stable and non-flammable solution. When used under normal conditions, it is not expected that there would be any significant health hazards.There may be some noticeable health effects on a small scale, as follows:
INHALATION
Respiratory protection is not usually required. DEF may however, cause irritation to the nose or throat.
EYES
If splashing might occur, wear eye protection with side shields. DEF may cause temporary irritation including stinging, redness or watering.
SKIN
May cause mild skin irritation including redness and burning. For prolonged exposure, gloves impervious to the material are recommended.
INGESTION
May be harmful if swallowed, causing irritation of mouth, throat and stomach.

FIRST AID TREATMENT
EYES
Flush eyes with clean water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Skin
Remove contaminated clothing and clean area with mild soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Launder clothing before reuse.
INGESTION
First aid is not normally required. See medical attention if symptoms arise.
INHALATION
Immediately remove person to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration and seek medical attention.
NOTES TO PHYSICIAN
Treat symptomatically.
